ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Barry Denenberg began his literary career working in various New York City, Cambridge and Boston bookstores. Subsequent management positions with national retailers and publishing houses convinced him to become a writer.
For further details on Barry, BD/A, Another Side, Lincoln Shot, Titanic Sinks! and Barry’s other published works, check out his website: http://barrydenenberg.com/.
He ghostwrote reviews for NPR before graduating to history books for young readers.
Now a long-time author and ghostwriter, Barry Denenberg's critically acclaimed non-fiction includes: Voices from Vietnam and Lincoln Shot as well as biographies of Anne Frank, Nelson Mandela, Elvis Presley and Charles Lindbergh. His most recent book—Titanic Sinks!—will be published in fall 2011 by Viking.
In the spring of 2009, he founded a manuscript-development company called BD/A—a natural outgrowth of his expertise in ghostwriting and his desire to continue collaborating with the more innovative researchers, editors and designers that he’s met through his last few projects.
One of those projects is none other than Another Side, a collection of hand-crafted, historical short stories that he’s been mulling over for twenty-five years and working on seriously for the past five.
Barry is married to publisher Jean Feiwel; they have a daughter, Emma, who attends NYU and a rescued, chocolate Newf named Holden.
